How to Switch from NewsBlur to Foragd
Switching from NewsBlur to Foragd takes a couple of minutes and requires no manual re-subscribing. Every feed you currently follow in NewsBlur can be moved to Foragd in a single file import.
1. Export your feeds from NewsBlur
Log into your NewsBlur account and go to your account settings. Look for the option to export your subscriptions as OPML (NewsBlur also automatically emails you an OPML backup whenever you make significant changes to your feeds), so you may already have a recent one in your inbox. Download the file.
2. Import into Foragd
Log into your Foragd account and go to Settings, then Import. Select your OPML file and confirm the import. Foragd will read every feed in the file and add them to your subscriptions automatically, preserving your NewsBlur folder structure as Foragd collections. Depending on the number of feeds, this typically completes in under a minute.
3. You’re done
Every feed you followed in NewsBlur is now in Foragd, and new articles will start appearing as they’re fetched. Your NewsBlur account remains untouched, so you can keep both running in parallel until you’re comfortable with the switch, or downgrade to NewsBlur’s free tier if you want to keep it as a backup.
